Extreme Overhaul
The other day, my mom and I went around bathroom-fixtures shopping. Anyone who's looked in the local papers recently would've seen that all those sanitary hardware shops have a sale promotion going on. We ended up buying new tiles for the bedrooms too. So, before I end up with a brand spanking new bedroom, I thought I'd show you how my room looks like, post-Katrina clean-up :P (Kila mnik ya Marzouq now the name is stuck LOL).
Without further ado, I present to you :
Excuse how tasteless everything is. Yeah I know the furniture and all that is ugly, but my room's looked like that since the house was built in 1990 :P So now we've finally gotten round to redecorating the bedrooms.
After almost 5 hours worth of mind-numbing staring at the same old ugly tiles, mom took me on a date to Lorenzo. Yum yum yum! Here's a picture of my chocolate fondant.

Finally organised and clean.
You got quite a big room it's a shame that it's not being used. I would seriously get rid of the curtains and replace it with those automatic shutters if you have an indent in the wall, sort of like how my room is, you saw the final product. And also, I would suggest you get rid of that desk and anything that won't match future purchases, (i.e. that hideous couch ;P) However rest of my advice will come to you online ;P

Seems like everyone's on the verge of redecorating his/her bedroom nowadays. Good luck cuz it looks like you need it more than I do. :P
I will start redecorating at the end of this month enshallah. Still looking around for that damned slammed bed style. =/

Concerning your room,
First thing I would do is change the bed sheet .. I don't know but I find the colors kina depressing ??
Ya3ni go with something more funky ,, brighter colors wouldn't bee too bad .. after all, I don't think it would be that convenient to change the rug, and since it's dark (which is always a good idea, spares you the trouble of having to clean it so often) getting lighter , brighter (yet plain) bed sheets would be awesome ..
W next thing I would do is to change the curtains .. go with something modern , I know you probably can't change your rooms entire style but try looking for something that's simple .. ya3ni you don't need a dozen layers of anything ,, just go with something plain w simple bas try to find a dark color ,, cuz there should be some sort of a contrast between it and the wall .. and you know how those modern designs are easy to put together ..
