Stupid Cupid Keeps On Calling Me, But I See Nothing In His Eyes

It's that dreadful phase again. Or is it really just a phase? You know what I'm talking about. I noticed a few bloggers (mostly Gemini's) and people beyond the internet world are going through it too. That horrible, horrible feeling, when you wish you had a "special someone". All that lovey dovey crap. It hits you when you least expect it, and when it's least welcome. There you are sitting on your sofa with your beloved laptop, and all of a sudden you get the urge to listen to some Abadi, or some Talal Salama, or Aseel or maybe even some hardcore mushy stuff, like Um-Kulthoum or Abdul-Haleem and whatnot. You pick up the phone, and wish you had someone you could call just to say "I love you" to. Too bad, you'll only have your pillow to comfort you tonight.
I hate it when it happens to me. The yearning to just have someone fill that empty void, that loneliness.
This is when I'm most likely to lock myself up in my room and not venture into the great outdoors. I know I will be a hazard, a threat, a danger to none other than myself. A lovelorn, lovesick puppy, a helpless romantic, desperate for someone, anyone. I'll fall head-over-heels for the easiest target. Probably just the first person to come along.
