Rooting For Kuwait!!

Dear......................

Being a past student of yours, and having had the pleasure of a first hand student/professor relationship with you, I can safely say that I admire all that you have shown your students to stand for and represent. Your lectures where the most fascinating and most engaging in my entire university life, not for the content of the lectures or the subject matter being discussed, but for the enthusiasm you showed and your beliefs and opinions which you bestowed upon your students on occasion. I have a deep respect for you, and hope you win in the parliamentary elections, because I truly believe that you are the best representative of Kuwaity students, and most deserving out of all candidates in the # electoral district.
Although I have not had the chance to visit your campaign site, I have been following your progress and all your latest news. I would like to make a suggestion that I hope you take to heart. As you might already know, blogging has become a phenomena that is part of Kuwaity culture that is spreading like wildfire, particularly amongst youth. Many critical events that have occurred lately were sparked by posts published on the notorious blogosphere, that although it is greatly influential, remains part of Kuwait's underground. I think it would have been wise of you to have tried to target and influence voters by having direct contact with them by means of blogging, as some candidates are already doing

I do realize that this suggestion might have come rather late, but I wish you all the best, and sincerely hope you win.

Pathetic Moron

If all your blog consists of is just copy-pasted, plagiarized bullcrap articles, you might as well have the decency and common courtesy to run a spell checker on that single word you added yourself. I mean, seriously! I can't even begin to explain how butchered spelling gets on my nerves, let alone a plagiarizing prick who adds that one last word at the end of the article that showcases how retarded the blog-owner really is. Sad, I tell you.

Japanese Thermal Reconditioning

Do any of you ladies out there know where I can find a salon in Kuwait that offers Japanese Hair Straightening? I heard Jacques Dessange has the system and prices start at KD 90. I'm looking for a place that has this technology and promises to give flawless results. No botchy guinnea-pig experimentation on my mane please!!

UPDATE 17/6/06
6:15 pm

I went to the salon that Skunky recommended and got a quote for my hair. 300 KD, give or take. And that was a pretty decent quote too, considering how long and thick my tresses actually are (below my ass when blow-dried). The whole process would take no less than 8 hours LOL!

But let me tell you about the salon itself. Unbelievably professional, cleeeean, and the ladies were uber friendly and answered every single one of my silly questions! They get bonus points for cleanliness alone.
There was another client who was getting her hair colored and blow-dried, and whoa was she being pampered! An amazing experience overall, even if i hadnt actually gotten anything done :P

Fuck Me

So it turns out I've flunked another entire semester, yet again. Why am I not surprised? Anyway, this adds an extra semester to my graduation countdown. Yeah right. At this rate and with all these setbacks, I'll get kicked out before that ever happens.

Zoot Suit Riot

Some members of this blogging community seem to have a false misconception regarding the face behind this blog. I may come off as a friendship-starved loner. There is some truth in that. Yes I am a loner. The thing that people seem to have difficulty understanding is the fact that I am a loner BY CHOICE. I enjoy the solitude. I did not start blogging with the intention of "making friends" like many of you bloggers seem to be doing. The last thing I could ever want is to make friends with people in a community that was meant to represent and preserve anonymity. Yes I am friendly. Yes I might add you to my MSN messenger. Yes I might respond to your comments and chat with you every now and then. I might suggest we hang out together sometime even. That does not make me want to be your BFF (Best Friend Forever à la Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie). There is nothing I loathe more than tooty-fruity type relationships. If I wanted friends I would've made that sort of relationship in school, or I could've gone to a party or did some volunteer work or something involving a load of socializing. Please, spare me.

I am very comfortable having this sort of detachment. Analyze and interpret any which way you want, I honestly don't give a hoot. But I'm sure you can already tell. I have plenty of "acquaintances" with whom I occasionally hang out, and I'm more than content with the way I live my life. I don't need to have people stuck to me at the hip, nor do I need to walk around with a phone surgically attached to my ears to come off as normal, or be undeserving of your pity. LOL. Too bad some people feel the need to pity me, as if the "state of exile" I'm in was forced upon me or something, and they feel the need to "help me with my problem by hooking me up", or even "do me a favor by talking to me". Get over yourselves :)

I hope this has set the record straight and cleared things up :) You can now direct your sympathy-fest towards some other "poor, helpless loser" person. I have no interest in taking part or being part of these childish grade-school shenanigans.
